Clodagh Cavanagh, Managing director of Abbey Machinery, has been placed on the shortlist for the prestigious IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards.
She has been shortlisted in the Chief Executive category for her work with one of the country’s leading machinery companies. She will battle it out for the prize along with with others in her category.
The Nenagh native has been running the company since 2006 and is the fifth generation of her family to have worked in the machinery business. Abbey Machinery was started by her grandfather, Joseph, back in 1947.
Clodagh will battle it out with ladies from some other important companies from around the country. These include CEO’s from Seetec Ireland, Benefit Cosmetics, Excursions Ireland, Eirespan Distribution Limited, ACB Group - Design and Construct, Event partners Ireland and Conference partners International, Easydry and BFree Foods.
There will be more awards given out at the awards ceremony on Monday, November 20th, at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin 4. There are nine categories in total, with 87 women in total up for an award.
