Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 12pm on Tuesday morning, after a man was found in a lake at a local trout farm, as reported by the salisbury journal.
The accident occurred in the lake at the Chalke Valley Trout Farm early on Tuesday morning. The ambulance service and local police arrived to the scene, and the 50 year old man was rushed to hospital.
It is believed the man had fallen into the lake at the farm, before he was discovered shortly after.
The man died shortly after arriving at hospital, and an investigation is currently underway into the incident.
No Formal identification of the man has yet taken place and local police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
