The fifth farm casualty of the year has been confirmed this morning, with a man dying on a farm in Co. Galway.
The farmer died after he was attacked by a cow, which is reported to have calved recently. The farmer was aged in his 60’s and the incident occurred yesterday afternoon, Sunday, just after half past two on the farm near Moylough in the county.
It was confirmed to us at ThatsFarming, that the farmer was in the calving pen at the time of the accident and this was where he was discovered.
An investigation by Gardaí Síochána and the HSE into the incident is currently ongoing.
