A landslide is the suspected cause of death. More on this here:

A man is suspected to have died in a landslide accident on a wind farm near the Sligo/Roscommon border.

The incident occurred last night, Monday 13th December, in Glen, near Ballyfarnon in Co. Sligo when a suspected landslide caused his death. The Gardaí and Health and Safety Authority are currently investigating the fatal incident. They recovered his body in the early hours of this morning, according to RTÉ.

The man was 37 years old and married. An RTÉ news report says that the man and a colleague were supposedly working with a machine on a mountainside when there was slippage of land at around 6.30pm yesterday.

The man was employed by Moriarty Civil Engineering and Construction Company. He was working on a wind farm project on Kilronan mountain, adds RTÉ.

More on the story as it develops. Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased.
