"We are moving to front and rear-mounted mowers"

Introducing the Procut 2,600 and 3,000 trailed mowers by Malone Farm Machinery.

Launched at the 2018 National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, That’s Farming spoke with Sales Manager, Fearghail Connolly, to tell us how the mowers have been performing for the company.

“There was only five manufactured last year, after spending three years working with testing and prototypes,” Fearghail explained.

“The feedback has been good and there have even been orders from the UK”, he added.

The company are working on fifty orders for the coming year so far, even though the trend seems to be leaning towards using front and back-mounted mowers in the private sector. Contractors; however, are still looking for trailed mowers.

Updating

“We are moving into the front-mounted and rear-mounted mowers, but we wanted to update the 900 before moving on,” Fearghail elucidated.

This decision resulted in the 2.6-metre width (2,600) and 3-metre width (3,000) mowers.

The Mayo company have just entered into the American market, with ACI distribution in St. Louis, Missouri, representing the Malone brand and that’s a very big trailed mower market.

Fearghail said that they are very pleased with the uptake of the company’s products and he will be flying to New Zealand this weekend to meet more companies over there.

Expansion is increasing steadily within the company as the Malone brand can now be found in the UK, South Africa, Costa Rica, Chile and New Zealand.
