Lorna Sixsmith, farmer and author, has won an award for her witty book ‘How to be a Perfect Farm Wife’.
Lorna has featured on That’s Farming many times, even joining us on our radio show one week. The award she scooped was in the non-fiction category of the Carousel Aware Prize (CAP). Carousel Aware was created by an Irish woman who wanted to boost the self-published works of our country’s authors.
Lorna’s ‘How to be a Perfect Farm Wife’ book showcases with humorous and heartfelt writing how she sees the farming world at the moment. We’ve even done a quiz based on her anecdotes which you’re guaranteed to relate to! (Especially if you’re a true farmer’s wife.)
It’s Sixsmith’s second publication, and as a result of winning the Best Non-Fiction Book award, her book will be pushed to the fore of Easons and Dubray Books.
