The farmer – who died following an incident involving a bullock on his Co. Limerick farm – has been named as Tadgh Dwane.
Aged in his eighties, the married man was discovered unresponsive and injured whilst he had been tending to livestock on Sunday (September 29th), according to a Garda spokesperson.
Gardaí and the emergency services attended the scene; the man was brought to Cork University Hospital where he died on Wednesday, October 2nd.
