Lidl and Aldi have both recently recalled Meat-free mince products due to a potential health risk.
This is according to a publication released by the Food Safety Authority over the past couple of days.
The product in question is Meat free mince and the recall from Lidl comes a couple of days after a similar item in Aldi was recalled.
The reasoning behind the recall is due to the presence of small blue plastic pieces in the product, which are a choking hazard.
The product recalled by Lidl is all batches of “What’s Cooking? Meat Free Mince”, while in Aldi stores they have recalled batches of “Mae’s Kitchen Frozen Meat-Free Mince” for the same supposed problem of small plastic pieces in the product.
All items have now been recalled, and customers are advised to return them to the store of purchase.
