Libby Clarke and Colin Murphy from Joyce Clarke Estate Agents, Portadown are gearing up for a rather unusual event in their offices on Friday, August 30th.
The duo are set to shave their heads in order to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer.
Within hours of signing up for this worthy cause, Libby and Colin were overwhelmed with the support of friends and colleagues who have pledged to support their fundraising efforts.
Speaking to That’s Farming, Libby Clarke – who is also a farmer – said: "We signed up without hesitation to try and do our bit for Macmillan who rely on donations to enable them to do their invaluable work.”
“Colin and I have recently lost a parent and have seen first-hand what cancer and the effects of its treatment can do to a person and the distress its legacy leaves for the wider family circle.”
“Joyce Clarke Estate Agents already make regular donations to Macmillan Cancer from the proceeds of house sales, but Colin and I thought this was something special, and personal for us to do."
They rely on the generosity of those wishing to make donations and would encourage people to use the following link or visit their office to do so.
“All donations big or small will be greatly appreciated.”
