Land its the cause of a few problems and falling out but this story from Carlow caught our attention.
A Carlow farmer, Michael Humphries was beaten up by his nephew 6 months after the family farm had been left to Humphries by his late mother.
The farm had also been left to the nephew Conor’s father Liam.
Conor denied the charges of assault in the courts but did plead guilty to criminal damage.
The court heard that Conor attacked his uncle after a family party in a local pub and told the man that he better sign over the farm to his father and that if he did not he would kill him.
Judge Daly found the young man guilty as charged.
Sentencing has been adjourned until 7 June.
