IPHS Symposium set to return to Portlaoise

The Irish Pig Health Society (IPHS) will be returning to Portlaoise for their annual symposium on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020.

What to expect

The IPHS Symposium, which attracts visitors from all areas of the pig industry, will be held at the Midlands Park Hotel in the county.

Attendees will hear seminars and talks describing experience and research from German farms on managing inflammation and the associated health and vice issues.

Meat processors will provide insights on adding value to pork produce while discussions will also surround global perspectives on African Swine Fever (ASF), animal rights activism, and animal health.

IPHS president, Martin Tighe, says the aim of the 2020 event is “to provide practical solutions for producers and industry stakeholders so that Irish farms, in particular, can access the tools to help them continue to thrive as the sector evolves”.
