How much did farmers pay to rent silage ground last year?

2019 saw variable changes in rental values for all land across Ireland, with some rising as much as 14% and others falling up to 12%.

That is according to the annual Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland / Teagasc Agricultural Land Market Review and Outlook Report 2020.

The report contains data relating to the different rental values of lands in certain areas as well as for various purposes.

Potato ground in Leinster remains as the most expensive to rent in Ireland, and seen an increase of 8% in 2019 from the previous year’s data.

Grazing ground in Leinster experienced the biggest fall in rental value, dropping by 12% from €190/acre to €170/acre.
