The National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) has released the results of a recent survey it conducted.
In this survey, they asked their members to disclose the prices they charge for agricultural contracting services.
The NAAC stated that contractors may also have individual arrangements with customers regarding diesel (eg. separate fuel surcharge, fuel used on-farm etc) and therefore the prices below do not reflect this market trend and this may make a significant difference to contracting charges. Prices are based on red diesel at 60ppl.
The average market price for agricultural contracting prices in the UK are as follows:
Hedge-cutting:
- Hedge cutting (flail) – £38.97/hour (€43.40);
- Hedge cutting (saw blade) – £50.67/hour (€56.43).
