It’s a good time to be Glanbia as the companies profits rose by 9.2% for the first half of the year.

It’s a good time to be Glanbia as the companies profits rose by 9.2% for the first half of the year.

Glanbia the dairy and nutritional company has reported a profits increase of 9.2% on revenues which have risen by 11.5% on the same period in 2016.

Glanbia’s growth has been credited to its nutritional wing, Glanbia Nutrional including its sports nutrition wing which has a large market share in the US.

This is the first set of resulted since Glanbia sold its 60% holding in its Dairy Ireland business to Glanbia co-op in July of this year.

Total group profit came in at 114.9m an increase of 4.6% in 2016.

Group managing Editor Director Siobhan Talbot called the first half of year or H1 results as a good performance.
