A young man has been arrested by Gardaí as part of a planned operation, resulting in the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property.
The man, aged in his 20’s, was arrested in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny yesterday. The young man was arrested after a search was carried out of a residence in the area. Among the things recovered was quad bikers, a 4x4 trailer, two caravans and a number of different tools.
The man is being detained in Thomastown Garda station for questioning. This arrest follows a spate of recent thefts in the county, leading to the Garda Operation. Gardaí have said some of the recovered items were taken from Leixlip, as far back as September.
