Although harvest season for vegetable growers should be a ‘fruitful’ period for most, it still represents a mammoth amount of work ahead. This is what makes having a high-scale harvester all the more important.
Dewulf have a design, the Dewulf GBC, which claims to have revolutionized vegetable harvesting. The GBC is a compact trailed 1-row top lifting harvester, with a bunker that is equipped with all of the latest technologies.
Compared to other designs, the GBC has a shorter wheelbase, a more compact bunker and a cylinder mounted on the drawbar, allowing for greater manoeuvrability.
Once gathered, root crops are suspended in the 10,500mm long, super grip harvesting belts. This ‘Floating Share’ feature is unique and guarantees maximum stability, even at high speeds. The Dewulf GBC is also extremely reliable and durable, thanks to hermetically sealed bearings on each cutter. Each cutter is then driven by “Gearbox Drive”, which is maintenance free.
The GBC is also fitted with two heavy-duty pinions, which allow for pin-point accurate synchronisation of the knives. The GBS is also fitted with a control unit and joystick, which makes its operation all the more enjoyable. Users can also follow the entire product flow, should they get the optional camera fitted.
The GBC must be used on tractors in excess of 80hp. Watch the GBC in action below, or read more here.
