Police officers in the state of Florida were recently called to an unusual situation.
The incident involved a street obstruction that needed addressing as drivers were held up while they waited for assistance.
The obstruction they dealt with was, in fact, a cow in the road.
After some searching, officers found the cow feeding off some residential lawns and decided to name her ‘Betsy’.
A spokesperson for the St. John’s County Sherriff’s office reported that ‘Betsy’ was “very friendly and after a brief discussion agreed she would no longer run away from home.”
After a short while, the owner of the came arrived at the scene and escorted the cow home.
