A Sligo man, Joe Molloy, has enlisted the help of social media as he searches for the owner of five sheep grazing on his lands near Drumcliffe in the county.
Mr. Molloy made the appeal via his Twitter handle, @FreelanceWebDev, yesterday, Monday February 11th, calling out for the owners of the missing animals to contact him. Joe has since been in contact with Lost & Found Pets Ireland, who have shared pictures on the animals on their social media accounts.
There are five sheep in total, all of which are Blackface, horned, mountain type ewes with red markings on their wool, as seen in the above and below pictures. The animals were first spotted by Mr Molloy yesterday, February 11th, and although they are currently feeding on his hedgerows, the owners have been warned that there are “slim pickings” remaining.
The animals in question seem to be in-lamb and the owners have been urged to come forward ASAP as lambing season is currently underway. The age of the sheep is unknown. Are they your sheep or do you know who’s they are?
Anyone who has any information on the sheep or who may know the owner is urged to contact @FreelanceWebDev on Twitter or the Lost & Found Pets Ireland Facebook page here.
