Five hospitalised after crash between a car and tractor

Five people, including one child, have been hospitalised following a collision between a car and tractor.

Belfast Telegraph reports that the incident occurred on the Pharis Road in Armoy yesterday evening (Monday, June 1st). 

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) was called to the scene of the accident at 6:42pm.

Response 

A spokesperson explained that four emergency crews, three rapid response paramedics and one doctor were dispatched, along with the Air Ambulance with HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) crew members on board. 

Two patients were taken to Causeway Hospital by ambulance while an additional two were also taken by ambulance to Antrim Area Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the NIAS.

A child was airlifted to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, while a sixth patient was discharged at the scene.
