The fire caused 100% damage to the harvester which went up in flames in Devon, U.K.

Officials from Witheridge Fire Station were called to what was initially reported as a tractor fire on Friday, June, 29th in Central Devon.

One fire appliance from Witheridge and both fire appliances from Crediton were mobilised to this incident which occurred in the afternoon, a statement released by Witheridge Fire Station outlined.

Forage Harvester

It was later confirmed by the chief officer that a Forage Harvester was well alight; the attendance of the water bowser was then requested and the fire control mobilised the water bowser from Barnstaple.

The crew got to work immediately to extinguish the fire with the utilisation of two compressed air foam jets; two main jets; and thermal imaging camera.

The cause of this fire which caused 100% damage to the harvester, is believed to have been accidental.
