Fire crews were called to a fire at a rendering plant for animal by-products last night (Sunday, June 14th).
Firefighters brought the blaze at Western Proteins, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo under control during the night, but remain at the scene this morning (Monday, June 15th).
No injuries have been reported.
The road remains closed and Gardaí are advising the public to stay away from the scene.
