The Association of Farm and Forestry Contractors in Ireland have published their Contracting charges guide for 2019, with an overall increase in charges of 5%. Check out the full list of recommended prices below!

The Association of Farm & Forestry Contractors in Ireland (FCI) have published their recommended contractor charge rates for 2019.

They have warned that the below figures should only be used as a guide, with all figures plus VAT at 13.5% and based on a green diesel price of 70cents per litre. They have also warned that due to local differences, the guide charge may vary between regions, across soil types, distance travelled, size of contract undertaken, size and type of equipment used and the amount of product spread.

The FCI have also warned that this year has seen contractors quoting charge increases of 5%, due in part to increased machinery and labour costs since the start of the year. The arrival of the new Revenue Commissioners Payroll System from January 1, 2019 has been an added cost to agricultural contractors. Skilled operators must be paid weekly and tax returns issued weekly, contributing to additional costs.
