RTÉ are calling all stressed out farmers and members of the public to come forward for a new documentary style TV series, Under Pressure, which hopes to help reduce stress levels in participants.
Stress is one of the country’s leading killers, with many dealing with high levels every single day. This could be because of a stressful day at work, on the farm or indeed as a result of money problems. Regardless of the cause, dealing with stress is of the utmost importance.
This new TV series will look into the science behind stress and explore just how stressful our lives really are. It will also offer participants and followers tips on how to reduce their stress levels.
The programme will be produced by Firebrand Productions in conjunction with stopwatch Television. There were the production companies behind successful series such as ‘Autism and Me’, ‘Bullyproof’, ‘What’s Ireland Eating’ and ‘Science Friction: Nuclear Fear’.
They feel farmers would be the perfect candidates for the show, having a very labour intensive job with a lot of pressure involved. They feel farmers could benefit greatly and feel it will help them to switch off, something they rarely do.
The series will bring science into the lives of all the participating stressed individuals who are struggling with life's constant hurdles. The shows team will monitor stress levels of all involved whilst monitoring their progress as experts try to help them combat their stressful lives.
The programme ‘Under Pressure’ is set to be broadcast in May of 2018 on RTÉ one. Any interested parties can apply by clicking here and filling out the application form.
