The CSO (Central Statistics Office) has released information on work hours across the country and across different sectors. It was revealed that farmers often have the highest work hours per week compared to other workers.
Along with fishery and forestry sectors in particular, farmers can work an average of 49.1 hours each week. This is almost 15 hours more per week than that of the average working citizen in Ireland.
Self-employed workers also clock up more hours than those employed by business or organisations etc.
