Farmer jumps into floodwater to save flock

Photos of a 26-year-old farmer, who risked her life to rescue her flock of sheep from drowning, have gone viral on social media.

Faye Russell had to move her sheep to higher ground, as a result of torrential rain caused by Storm Dennis.

The Derbyshire native tied a rope around her waist and jumped into the water to conduct the successful rescue operation.

She acknowledged the efforts of her neighbours and farmworks who assisted her.
