A 26 year old man arrested yesterday has been charged in connection to the murder of farmer Paddy Lyons.
Gardai have charged a 26 year old man in connection with the murder of 90 year old farmer Paddy Lyons.
Lyons was found dead in his house on Saturday last with head wounds. It is believed he died from a beating.
Lyons had been the victim of previous burglaries in his home. The 90 year old was a bachelor who lived alone in the townland of Loughreagh, Ballysaggart near Lismore in Waterford.
He had been last seen alive on Friday evening.
