A man in his 80s – who was injured by an animal on his farm in Co. Limerick on Sunday, (September 29th) - has died in hospital.
A Gardaí spokesperson said: “A man in his 80s was discovered unresponsive and injured whilst he had been attending livestock.”
Gardaí and the emergency services attended the scene of the incident; the farmer was brought to Cork University Hospital, where he later died. A post-mortem examination will be carried out at a later date.
According to locals, the man was struck by a bullock.
