A farmer in the UK has been rushed to hospital, after an explosion on a farm near Broad haven in Wales, as reported by fginsight.com.
The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 11am and Fire and Rescue services were called to the scene shortly after. It is believed that the explosion happened whilst the man was welding.
The man was found outside one of the barns on site, suffering from extensive burns over his body. He was given oxygen on the scene, and a fire in the barn was extinguished by firefighters. The man was airlifted to Swansea’s Morriston Hospital, while a second person was taken to WIthybush General Hospital in the area.
"We had the call at 11.43am to go to a farm near Broadhaven.” a spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
"There was one male casualty suffering from severe burns so our firefighters helped with cleaning the area and administered oxygen and extinguished a fire in front of an open barn area.” they added.
"Crews from Haverfordwest and Milford Haven attended." they concluded.
