The event will be help in Macroom Mart on Thursday July 6th at 11.a.m.
It is an information evening aiming to highlight the revised standards for Agricultural Vehicles as well as Farm Safety.
The event will be held outdoors and is run in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, the HSA, The Fire Service and Corks Rapid Response Unit.
The event will host a full display of agricultural vehicles/machinery and will go into detail into the new requirements to comply with current legislation and safety hazards when working with machinery on farms.
Gardaí will be in attendance at the weighbridge on site, in a bid to highlight trailer towing capacities of jeeps and other farming vehicles.
They will also discuss the required lights/axles/markings for tractor trailers and other agricultural equipment for use on public roads.
Farm safety issues will be highlighted by the Health and Safety Authority(HSA) while there will be demonstrations by the Fire service on the equipment used in farm accidents and fires.
Cork Rapid Response and Air Ambulance crew will also be in attendance offering information on the services they provide.
IFA Farm Family representatives will highlight the importance of safety awareness on the farm.
