Air Corps 112 was called to the scene of two farm accidents over the course of the weekend.
In a statement on social media, on Sunday (November 17th), Air Corps 112, said: “For the second time this weekend, the crew of #AirCorps112 were tasked to an agricultural accident, this time as a result of livestock.”
“Our Leonardo #AW139 allowed our team to be on scene within 9 minutes of take-off and convey our patient to definitive care in 11 minutes.”
“Our sincere thanks to the many members of the public, for the assistance provided to our team on scene and to our friends in Galway Ambulance Station for their usual professional assistance at Saolta University Hospital Galway.” the statement concluded.
In an additional statement on November 16th, it said: “Today, the combined Irish Air Corps & National Ambulance Service crew of #AirCorps112 responded to 3 incidents including an agricultural accident.”
“53% of serious farm accident last year involved machinery and farm vehicles, while 29% were as a result of working with livestock.” The statement concluded.
