As reported yesterday HSA and emergency services were called to the scene of a farm accident in Cork where a trench had collapsed on a man.
The accident happened yesterday morning and while emergency services were on the scene trying to help rescue the man their efforts were unsuccessful.
The incident which occurred in Coachford involved a excavation of a deep drainage trench, the trench was between 3-4 metres deep.
The man’s remains have been moved to Cork University hospital.
The accident is under investigation.
