A family-run business, called Street Farm Dairy, fell victim to theft after their orders, which were due to be sent to those self-isolating, were stolen.
All of the bread and yoghurt products were taken from the business, which is based in the UK, on Tuesday, March 24th.
Theft
In a social media post, a spokesperson for the Kent-based enterprise said: “We can’t believe we are having to write this – but this evening all our bread and yoghurts were stolen.”
“We are so, so sorry but anyone who was expecting our lovely locally baked bread and yoghurts won’t be able to have them delivered tomorrow. You, of course, won’t be charged for them.”
“To all our new and existing customers, we really apologise, and we’ll restock these items as soon as we can. Most of these products were due to be delivered to those who are self-isolating,” the post concluded.
In a separate post, they explained that they found that more stock was missing. “It transpires this morning that all the juice was taken too. Apologies to everyone who has ordered juice, we’re so sorry.”
Street Farm Dairy produce dairy products from their own herd of Friesian cows and distribute it to local households and businesses in the Kent area. The business began in the mid-1980s when milk quotas were introduced and initially the milk was sold untreated. They now pasteurise their milk and offer a full range of milk products: skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole milk.
