Damien McAnespie and family are hosting a charity ceílí dancing night in memory of their father who died following an incident at Clogher Mart last June.
Harry – a highly respected member of the farming community – passed away after being injured by an animal.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 15th with all proceeds in aid of Air Ambulance NI.
Damien McAnespie said: “Dad passed away in June 2018 following a farming accident and we are forever grateful that the Air Ambulance attended to dad that day and give him the best and quickest care, though it wasn't meant to be.”
“We are now selling tickets for the event at a cost of £5 each and I've set this up for those who maybe can't attend on the night or would just like to donate to this wonderful charity that rely solely on donations from the public to stay flying.” he added.
Writing a post on Facebook shortly after the incident, Damien Mc Anespie said: “We are completely shocked and devastated by his untimely passing but yet so blessed that he saw us all grow up, get married and have our own children, so many people don't get that chance.”
“We have been so overwhelmed already by the number of people who have helped out in the past 24 hours. We also want to thank the doctor, paramedics, the NI Air Ambulance Crew and staff at RVH Belfast who tried everything they could to save him.” he added.
