Emerald Isle Beef Producers is now “up and running”, according to one of its directors, Eamon Corley.
A message, which was circulated on WhatsApp today (Wednesday, November 27th), outlined that some 70 cattle have been slaughtered through the producer organisation to date.
EIBP is currently taking bookings for next week - today (Wednesday, November 27th) is the deadline in order to have cattle slaughtered next week, Corley explained.
To sell weanlings or stores through the group, there is no membership fee until Jan 2021, while to sell finished cattle through the group, a lifetime membership fee of €100 applies.
“For the lifetime entry fee, every member becomes an equal shareholder.” the PO said in a statement.
The group has also launched its new online registration service, which can be accessed here - contact one of the directors to obtain a copy of rules.
