A special event in memory of Declan Donohue Junior will take place in Co. Mayo next month on August, 5th, 2018.
Declan Jnr, son of Declan and Geraldine Donohue was visiting his relations in Ballinaboy, Belmullet, Co. Mayo when he was struck by a tractor and died on July, 29th, 2015.
He was described as a “little boy who brought so much joy to everyone with his mischievous smile and devilment.”
The Donohue family - Declan; Geraldine; Julianna and Noah wish to “give back to the charity that initially helped them” and to do so they are hosting a charity barn dance and auction will be held at Healy’s Hall, Glenamoy, Ballina, Co. Mayo in aid of Embrace FARM - Ireland’s dedicated farm accident support network for those impacted by farming accidents.
“Out of all tragedies, there should always be something positive - we want to keep ‘Little Deceen’s” name and memory alive.” a post read.
In Declan Junior’s memory, an auction will be held on the night with sports memorabilia which include a fully signed authentic Manchester United jersey, courtesy of Martin Donohue via Old Trafford; fully-signed Mayo Football jersey; fully-signed Galway Hurling jersey, fully-signed Connacht Rugby jersey and a fully-signed Dublin 2016 Commemorative jersey.
Other prizes on the night include an All-Ireland Rugby jersey, courtesy of Embrace Farm and other agricultural supplies sponsored by several Connacht-based businesses.
Tickets for the event are priced at €10, with all proceeds going to Embrace FARM – Farm Accident Support Network.
