Dry cows met with a steady trade at Elphin Mart on Monday, November 11th, according to Gerry Connellan - manager.
Entries sold from €300-€1,455, with an average price of €883 achieved.
76% of lots offered for sale in the suckler ring, found new homes, with prices ranging from €1,000 to €2,600.
"We had 85% clearance of bull weanlings with prices governed by quality." the manager outlined.
Bull weanlings less than 300 kg delivered an average price of €689 with a top call of €890 recorded for a Charolais weighing 300kgs.
Entries in the 300-400 kg bracket pushed up to €1,000 with an average price of €790 forked out.
Heavier weanlings, 400-500 kg, delivered an average of €934 with a maximum price of €1,010 for a 415 kg Charolais.
We had 82% clearance of female weanlings with prices governed by quality." Connellan added.
Heifer weanlings less than 300kgs averaged €674 with a maximum price of €885 for a 300 kg Charolais.
Entries weighing between 300-400 kg averaged €730 with a maximum price of €965 for a 315 kg Charolais.
400-500 kg-types reached €1,050 - a price that was paid for a 490kg Charolais with an average of €931.
"A 100% clearance of lambs with prices steady." the manager said.

"98% clearance of ewes ranged in price from €50 to €150," Connellan concluded.
