A "long-acting sustained release" of trace minerals for cattle & sheep

PharVet (Ireland) Ltd will launch an Electromin Bolus range for cattle and sheep at the National Ploughing Championships next week.

The Electromin Bolus range has a “unique mode of action” and provides a controlled and long-acting sustained release of trace minerals for dairy and suckler cows, calves and growing stock (ewes and lambs), according to the company.

PharVet is now the exclusive distributor of the Bolus range, manufactured by Vetalis, which was previously distributed in Ireland by Osmonds.

This range of boluses will now be available through usual outlets including local co-ops or agri-merchants.

Competition

As part of their launch of the Electromin Bolus range, PharVet are running a competition at their 'Ploughing' stand for farmers to be in with a chance of winning €1,000 worth of boluses as well as a €10 voucher per box offering off their first purchase of boluses.

The Electomin Bolus range includes Elite Dry Cow (12’s), a long-acting bolus that provides a balanced and controlled supply of essential trace element required during the dry period.

It provides cobalt, copper, manganese, iodine, zinc, selenium, vitamin E and vitamin A; the dose is 1 bolus per cow and lasts 90 days.

Super Grazing 250 (12’s & 50’s) is a unique, long-acting and highly concentrated bolus that provides a balanced and concentrated supply of essential trace elements for the entire grazing season (250 days).

It provides zinc, copper, iodine, selenium and cobalt. It compensates for the trace element deficiencies in grass to support each physiological stage (lactation, reproduction pregnancy and calving).

Other boluses include Copper Plus (20’s), Calfmin (25s & 40s), Sheep (100s), Reproduction (12s & 50s) and High Fertility bolus.
