Edward Dudley is back from this weekend's sales with a bang! As a maiden heifer goes for €8300 at the Irish Angus Premier Sale.

The last major sale on the pedigree circuit took place at the newly revamped show grounds at Carrick-On-Shannon, Co. Leitrim over the weekend. The annual Irish Angus sale of bulls and heifers attracted a large crowd with significant interest across all sections. The top price was well up on last year’s sale with an extremely high clearance of both bulls and heifers on the day.

She took the reserve female champion prize in the pre-sale show and is a former 1st prize winner at the Irish Angus finals at Strokestown Show last September.
The Overall Female Champion of the day, Clooncolligan Minnie exhibited by Kevin Diffley, Bornacoola, Carrik-On-Shannon sold for €5100. Another former winner on the summer show circuit, this heifer had previously claimed the overall female championship at the Irish Angus finals at last September’s Strokestown Show.
