‘Every truck man in the country knows where it [Dualla] is’

Taking place on Sunday, August 25th, Dualla Show is expected to attract the usual thousands from far and wide with its agricultural events, equine section, machinery, food, live music and free children's entertainment!

Brand new this year is an all-star line-up of stellar country music acts; stars include Trudi Lalor; Mick Flavin; John McNicholl; Gerry Guthrie; and Declan Nerney.

Highlights

The show will host the All-Ireland Aberdeen-Angus championship which is expected to attract over 100 entries from the four corners of the country. Other classes of interest will be the Hereford Prime Carcass Bull of the Year and the popular Best Pair in Show with a prize fund of €500.

The Connolly Red Mills Munster Grand Prix competition will be held in addition to the normal smattering of SJI classes.

Children’s entertainment will come in the form of a secure and supervised play area with ten completely free inflatable castles, slides and obstacle courses including the 100ft Eliminator along with a free circus.

The Tipperary Truck Show is also back this year and looking to break all records. Last year, this event saw 520 trucks make their way to Dualla from both Ireland and the UK and has become one of the highlights of the trucker annual calendar. “Dualla is just a small village but every truck man in the country knows where it is,” said Daire Maher, one of the truck show organisers.

Elsewhere, the stalwarts of the Irish Tractor Pulling Committee are also returning and are guaranteed to provide a fantastic display of horsepower.

This year’s Live at the Marquee event will have talks and demos throughout the day on cookery, gardening and flower arranging. Multi-award-winning parenting and food blogger One Yummy Mummy Jolene Cox will be sharing her passion for making easy, healthy, tasty recipes for the whole family. John Smullen of Moyglass Kennels is back again with another great selection of dog classes.

As usual, there will be a vintage display of cars and tractors, trade stands, artisan food stands, O’Neills Sportswear shop, Tipperary Emergency Services and the superstars of Wrestling.IE
