PSNI Newry, Mourne & Down issued a warning to motorists earlier today, February 1st, to avoid the Dublin road from Newry in Co. Down.
The warning came after a driver lost a load of hay bales, which spilled out onto the road this morning, Friday February 1st. The bales fell onto the side of the road near a bridge in the area, which led to significant traffic delays.
The PSNI had set up detoured routes for affected motorists but confirmed in recent hours that the hay had since been cleared. Luckily for the driver, he was ‘baled’ out of the situation by police.
