Dovea Genetics - dairy and beef semen supplier - has launched its new initiative entitled ‘Dovea Straws For Action’.
The company will donate €1 from each semen straw sold off their high-EBI bull - Beechnut Dovea (FR4673) - and the Limousin bull - Ewdenvale Ivor (LM2014) – from January 1st up to mid-September 2019 to Embrace FARM.
Enda Dooley - Product Development & Quality Manager for Dovea Genetics - said the company has admired the work undertaken by Embrace FARM since its foundation.
Brian Rohan - Chairperson of Embrace FARM - thanked the firm for this initiative and outlined his own personal experience of a farm accident and how the charity was established.
Ms. Anna May McHugh - Managing Director of the National Ploughing Association - said she was delighted to formally launch the initiative and to be associated with it; she commended Embrace FARM’s efforts and complimented the Dovea Genetics team.
The proceeds will be presented to Ireland’s dedicated farm accident support network at the 2019 Ploughing Championships which will be held in Fenagh, Co. Carlow.
