The story, published by the Mirror, suggests that letting your dog show you love might not be the best idea.
The article, obviously, states that letting a dog lick your face means your face has been everywhere your dog's tongue has been. This means that if your dog is a fan of the rubbish bin, or dirty areas that these germs, bacteria and viruses will end up on your face.
It also points out that dogs lick their own and each othe'rs private parts also, another reason maybe to refrain from letting them kiss you. The theory was backed up by a professor of virology, bacteriology at Queen's Mary University in London, John Oxford. Mr. Oxford warned though that it's not just the mouth we need to worry about.
Mr. Oxford said that their noses are being used excessively to investigate peculiar smells and new places, which means their noses are full of germs, bacteria and viruses.
