The Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine have spent more than 30% more than they did last year.
This was revealed in the Dáil yesterday as Minister Creed was questioned over his departments expenses.
The figures revealed were a net spend of €312,000 on advertising and publicity.
This was over €73,000 more than what was spent in 2015.
Minister Creed, upon releasing these figures, said that the department regularly update their website with figures spent on Photography, and added that between 2012 and 2016 the department had spent just over €1.2 million on advertising and publicity.
So far in 2017 alone Minister Creed says there was been just over €100,000 spent.
