Three people appeared before Carrick-on-Suir District Court in recent days, charged with the assault of a Garda and trespassing on a farm in Co. Waterford, as reported by waterfordlive.ie.
The three in question, Derek Tobin (39) of Carrick on Suir, Alan Hackett (26) of Carrick on Suir, and Hazel Greene (22) of Clonmel, appeared before Carrick-on-Suir District court in relation to an incident on November 25th. The three were charged with trespassing on the farm in Monadiha, Rathgormack, Co. Waterford on the day in question, whilst also charged with assaulting a Garda on the same day.
Garda John Downey sought an adjournment of the case until the New Year, as the Garda Superintendent in Tramore needs further time to compile a file for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The cases for all three defendants were subsequently adjourned by Judge Terence Finn for a further sitting in Carrick-on-Suir District court on February 9th, 2019. They were all remanded on bail.
