The final figure raised by a tractor run in aid of Mallow Search & Rescue has been confirmed.
€14,500 was gathered by Banteer Macra and members of the Kilcorney community through the organisation of The Ned Tarrant Memorial Tractor Run on Sunday, April, 29th, 2018. Over 230 tractors rolled out for the event.
Speaking to That’s Farming following the event, David Murphy, one of the organisers said:
“Ned Tarrant passed away at the end of February this year and we held this event in his honour, but also to raise funds for a very worthy cause. There was phenomenal support on the day. I was on the committee alongside Patrick Buckley; Banteer Macra members, as well as Pat Cremin; John Sheehan; and Matt Sheehan.”
A statement released by Mallow Search and Rescue outlined:
“We are extremely grateful for this very generous donation to our cause which will go towards the running of our unit and allow us to continue with the work that we do.”
