135 pedigree registered Charolais bulls are set to go under the hammer this Saturday 4th November.
Golden Value Mart, Tullamore, Co. Offaly is set to play host to annual Irish Charolais Cattle Society sale.
All entries have been pre-selected and are fertility tested, with the majority of the bulls catalogued for this sale eligible for BDGP, rating four and five stars for replacement and terminal indexes.
The bulls offered for sale from breeders in every corner of the island are sired by well-proven A.I and stockbulls.
Speaking with That’s Farming, Nevan McKiernan, Secretary of Irish Charolais Cattle Society said:
“There is a large entry for this sale, offering choice for many farmers. There is something to suit every system and every budget. Entries have been pre-selected, which gives confidence to the buyers.” Nevan explained.
The show is set to kick-off at 10am, followed by progression into the sales ring at 12.30pm.
Tom Cox will officiate as auctioneer for the sale.
The catalogue can be found online here.
An elite show and sale of Charolais heifers will be staged at Tullamore Mart the following Saturday and we will bring you details of this sale.
