101 bulls are catalogued for this year's Irish Charolais Society Christmas Cracker Show and Sale.
The annual event will take place at Elphin Mart, Co. Roscommon on Saturday, December 1st; the show will take place at 10 am, followed by the sale at 12:30pm.
Speaking to That's Farming, Nevan McKiernan - Secretary of Irish Charolais Cattle Society said:
"The Christmas Cracker is the number one Charolais Bull sale in Ireland in terms of quality. Many of the bulls have been prize-winners at Summer shows all year, including Champions from our National Show back in August."
"These bulls have since come through a rigorous inspection, to ensure a high standard of quality on the day. There will be a range of different bloodlines on offer, with the majority of bulls qualifying for the BDGP."
All bulls have been pre-inspected; vet-inspected and DNA-sire verified; entries are eligible for export on the day; fertility-tested and fertility-insured, according to the society.
Free transport is available to a UK main-land venue and €100 paid towards transport costs to Northern Ireland, the society added.
