Participants have just two weeks left to submit their carbon navigator plan.
The Carbon Navigator which is a key component of the Genomics Program is set to close in just weeks. The October 31 deadline is just days away and farmers who do not send in their completed navigator could face penalties.
The navigator must be completed with the help of your Teagasc advisor, something which the Department of Agriculture will cover the cost of.
The navigator is part of the Departments overall commitment to reducing and measuring greenhouse gas emissions while increasing beef efficiency.
For example extening grazing times is proven to lower farms carbon footprint and increases farm profitabliy.
