Calling all TAMS applicants! Are you interested in upgrading your slurry handling operations or grass-mowing equipment? Come along to Major Equipment Intl Ltd’s open day tomorrow.
This Saturday 3rd December from 2pm to 5.30pm, Major will be hosting an Open Day for applicants of the TAMS scheme in particular. The event will take place at the Mayo-based machinery company’s Ballyhuanis factory on the Charlestown Road.
The award-winning grass cutting and slurry equipment manufacturer is running the event to help farmers decide what products they should be using.
Applications for the TAMS scheme have been submitted already, but many farmers and contractors are expressing uncertainty about what system is most suitable for their circumstances.
“The Low Emission Slurry Spreading scheme under TAMS is encouraging a move towards a more environmentally sound method of slurry application,” explained Martin Walsh from Major Equipment. “However we are getting a lot of enquiries from our customers unsure what system to choose,” he said.
There are plenty of manufacturers of slurry application systems to choose from but the options available can be bewildering, with some products not suitable or appropriate for Irish conditions.
Representatives from Micro Hydraulics Ltd, Vogelsang Injection Systems and First Citizen Agri Finance will also be there on the day to offer advice and answer any queries people may have.
Major will also be showcasing a range of grass toppers including their Cyclone Mower. There will be refreshments available on the day and anyone considering moving to a trailing shoe or dribble bar system is urged to attend.
