A butcher from Cavan has earned his place in the Guinness Book of World Records 2019 edition after he produced 78 sausages in 60-seconds.
Barry John Crowe smashed the Guinness World Record for the most sausages produced in one minute, beating the previous record of sixty sausages.
The 37-year-old made the successful attempt on RTÉ’s Big Week on the Farm series in April-2017.
A Family Tradition
Barry John became involved in the running of the family butcher shop at the age of ten and he has been perfecting his sausage-making skills ever since.
He has created an impressive range of 36 different sausage types based on a traditional pork recipe; their varieties include some of the chocolate chip and honeycomb.
His parents are still involved in the running of the family business based at 2, James Connolly Street, in Cavan town.
“My father is still involved in it, heavily involved still and my mother has been there as well with dad since day one, so mum’s overlooking everything, keeping us all in line.”
